Story: 
Akira grew up in Radiant Garden and made it her duty to look out for the children who were picked on by older kids. She quickly formed a close friendship with Ilana, a kind girl who owned her own flower garden, swearing to protect her at any cost (after she had been cured by her with herbs.)

Unfortunately Akira wasn’t able to keep her promise when the Heartless attacked their world. Ilana sacrificed herself to prevent Akira’s heart from being stolen, losing her own instead. 
After fleeing to Traverse Town with Leon and the others, Akira fell into a depression of guilt and fear, after loosing both her best friend and home. 
Darkness took a hold of her and almost consumed her completely, if it hadn’t been for Ilana’s heart, which had merged with Akira’s, and protected her. 
(Akira is not aware of those things) 
A vision of Ilana was able to get Akira to move on, but the Darkness stayed, nurtured by her lingering negative emotions and spurring them on with nasty whispers.

In the following years Akira became rather isolated after this, seeking others out only for advice and helping with her training. She occupied herself with becoming a more skilled fighter and trying to learn about the nature of justice and ethics, aspiring to become something she named herself Justicar.
Her definition of a Justicar is a person who protects, judges over those who have wronged the people under their protection and also execute the sentence.
While this sprout from Akira’s protective character, she also does it to atone for not being able to hold her promise towards Ilana.

Upon coming back to Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion, Akira joins the Restoration Committee and does every to get her homeworld back to it’s old glory. While Leon and his group trust Akira, most of the other residents have become wary of her, due to her darkness attracting Heartless. 
When Ansem’s computer was accessible again, Akira went through all the researches, trying to learn more about Heartless, Darkness and Nobodies.

Lea’s recurrence gave Akira hope for the first time in years, showing that it was possible for a person, who had lost their heart, to return. Glad to have someone from her childhood back, she starts to train together with him and later also Kairi.

Personality:
By nature Akira is a very upbeat character, with a sassy attitude and a great sense of devotion towards those she cares about. She is helpful and protective, but also very prideful, preferring to do things by herself than asking for help. (exception is training)

After the loss of Ilana and her home, most of her carefreeness changes to anxiety and self-doubt, all spurred on by the whispers of the darkness.
She retrains her will to help and protect, but doesn’t dare to get close to other people anymore, out of fear of loosing someone again. She also doesn’t see herself worth of being called a friend, even when she carves it.

Akira can be very knowledgeable about certain topics, but still appears to be clumsy/reckless at times due to her inability for planning ahead.
She also clings vehemently to the past, wishing that things would be simple and good like in her childhood. This, together with her guilt, prevents her from moving on and getting rid of the darkness. 

While Akira herself isn’t as carefree as she used to be, she can’t stand to see other people being gloomy/sad and tries her best to cheer them up and giving them advice as best as she can.

Since the last picture, I changed a bit of Akira's story and character or added a bit more, like the identity of her best friend Ilana.
Boy, had I fun picking the voice actresses for Akira. x3
I’m very thankful for my boyfriend INCtastic who designed the weapons for me. It’s really not my strength and he has a knack for such fanciful weapons like you find in the KH universe.
The symbol in the background will be her personal one. The design was a happy accident and still needs a bit of fine tuning.

The short-swords are enchanted and are helping Akira to concentrate her magic when used in larger amount during battles. She can summon and dispel the weapons with the summon tokens attached to her gloves.
Her choice of a dual-wielding fighting style comes from the fact that Lea was the one who first showed her how to fight. (at her request)
