I really needed to get a design of my spider character for my Strange Magic Story, otherwhise I would have gone mad.
So I scribbled a rough design and my dear friend Riza23 gave me a great lineart of her. Put some quick colors on her and I’m pleased.
Her name is Moira, as title she has ‘Fatespinner’ and she is a mix of Spider (precisely Black-Widow), Goblin and a third species I don’t want to name yet.
It will take some time until she will even be mentioned in my story, but better have the design before. xD
Originally her name was Otthilde, but I changed the name to Moira, because the meaning suited to her so perfectly. In Latin it’s Fate and in Celtic it describes her character perfectly: Soft, Elegant, Composed, Amorous, Cultured Intellect and Great Sense of Humour.
Due to her original german name, she will have a german accent.
Her Spider traits are obvious, the goblin traits are mostly the claws and pale skin. The traits from the third species are the glowing hair and her small breasts. She is also a bit taller than Bog.
The title Fatespinner comes from her ability to read the fate of a person from the fatethread or from her own webs (She can do this only vaguely, because fate can be changed easily). She is also able to take away a persons fatethread, which makes them to a hollow being. She does this only with male beings (makes them weak with a mating ritual *cough* Somewhere the Black widow trait need to be put in), to keep her youth looking, females would make her old.
She is a few thousand years old and lives in a cavern deep in the territory of the spiders in the Dark Forest. It’s a ritual of every new King or Queen to visit her, to let her see in the future. (It’s also an additional task for the Kings to resist her decoying magic.)
In my story Bog and Marianne have to seek her out to get information. Even she tries to seduce Bog from time to time (which is always balked by Marianne), she later becomes an important ally and works with the council of Fairy and Goblins together.
